Whether you're a new user who never set a password, or a more experienced user who has simply forgotten, the account recovery process is the same.
You will need to contact our University of Michigan 4HELP Desk at 734-764-4357 and ask for your UMICH password to be reset. A password reset must be done over the phone using your UMICH Uniqname. 4HELP may ask for additional information that was provided in the request system in order to verify that it is you asking for the reset; if any of this is missing from your account, you will need to contact VDE Support. Please note that if a user does not log in to the VDE within 7 days of obtaining their account or within 30 days of setting a new password, it will need to be reset.
